RCMP confirm death of missing hiker in Kananaskis
A 42-year-old hiker reported missing in the Mount Baldy area has been found deceased.
Kananaskis RCMP received the missing person report on May 23. Later that day, Kananaskis Mountain Rescue located the individual, who was then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary.
RCMP say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” police said in a statement.
