Piikani Nation held its 64th annual powwow and celebration over the August long weekend, embracing Niitsitapii culture and Blackfoot heritage. The weekend’s events included traditional powwow dancing, warrior relay races, a youth rodeo, markets and more. Pictured is a Piikani youth warrior relay jockey, preparing himself for the race.
