September Crestview Highlights

It sure is nice when even the most uncrafty person will come and try their hand at the monthly craft at hand and end up having a lot of fun while they’re at it. Not that any of the residents are uncrafty.

For our Virtual Travels we travelled to Nova Scotia, which was suggested by a lady who is from the area and wanted to take a trip back home. She was very thankful, and the others enjoyed it as well.

We also travelled to Ireland. When we go on these travels there is usually a full room of residents that come and watch.

One of our groups here in Crestview is our Crochet Corner. A bunch of ladies get together and crochet, knit, bead, colour or whatever they like to do on that day.

One of our residents, together with our volunteer Sylvia, decided to crochet cat blankets for the animal shelter. This project went on for a few months and we finally dropped off about 20 cat blankets to the shelter. Thank you so much, Martha Janzen and Sylvia Barbero, for your huge effort providing blankets for the cats.

Our last trip to Waterton for the season was to Red Rock Canyon. The fall colours are beautiful this time of year and we even saw a bear. Well, not me, I was driving. The day turned out to be great and it certainly was enjoyed by all.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who help out each and every month.
