Bellecrest Seniors serve lunch with a smile

Sweets and treats, tea, lunch and camaraderie were the order of the day at the Bellecrest Seniors Harvest Tea on Oct. 28.

Bellecrest Seniors Association hosted its annual Harvest Tea fundraiser Oct. 28 at Bellecrest Seniors Hall in Bellevue and the lunch was a huge success — the sublime baking had people filling every seat in the room.

Attendees also had the option to buy tasty treats from the bake sale table, which was pretty picked over by the end of the day. One of the fan favourites was lemon meringue pie, a hot commodity that sold quickly.

Gerrie Keohane, president of the Bellecrest Seniors, says the Harvest Tea is one of the group’s biggest fundraising events of the year. Money raised will go right back into the club so it can continue hosting great events for Crowsnest Pass seniors.
