Cowley’s Dino Days brings prehistoric fun to the village
Only in Cowley will you find dinosaurs parading down Main Street tossing rockets (of the candy variety) and high-fiving the kiddos! The village celebrated its second annual Dino Days on Saturday with a bustling community event that featured classic vehicles, great food, live entertainment, beer gardens and fun activities for kids.
Big news this week:
- New community peace officer joins MD of Pincher Creek – Robyn Potter, the MD’s first dedicated CPO, stepped into the new role on July 2 and brings local roots plus enforcement experience from remand centres and previous municipal work
- Pincher Creek Mustangs celebrate 30 years – The football program marks three decades with a community tailgate and triple-header home opener Sept. 20 at Matthew Halton Field, featuring free admission for all games
- Council chambers accessibility concerns raised – Residents complained that the setup in the gym area was inadequate during a packed Aug. 25 town council meeting, with poor sound quality making it difficult to follow proceedings
- MD tackles wide-ranging issues – From dust control experiments with C20+ alternative product to planning major Therriault Dam upgrades now estimated at $1.5-1.7 million
Don’t miss:
