Okotoks RCMP are urging residents to stay home as officers respond to numerous collisions caused by treacherous road conditions.

Police warn that drivers involved in a collision may face lengthy waits for emergency crews to arrive.

For those who must travel, RCMP advise dressing for the weather, turning on headlights, maintaining extra following distance, reducing speed and giving emergency crews room to work.
