Obituary for Verden Lincoln Boese

Verden Boese of Pincher Creek passed away at the Pincher Creek hospital on Aug. 21, 2021, at the age of 87.

Verden was predeceased by his wife, Fern Boese, on Aug. 11, 2009.

He is survived by his sons, Eric (Ruby) Boese of Cimarron, Kansas, Myrl (Janice) Boese and Jim (Rilla) Boese, all of Pincher Creek, and his daughter, Connie (Reg) Siemens of Edberg, Alta., as well as his 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Verden is also survived by his brother Jake (Viola) Boese of Linden, Alta., and his sisters Velma Weibe of Acme, Alta., and Bernice (Fred) Esau of Airdrie.

An evening prayer service was held at Rocky View Mennonite Church on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. Funeral service for Verden was held at Rocky View Church on Friday, Aug. 27, at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Pincher Creek.

Verden’s family wish to extend a special thank you to Whispering Winds Village, Vista Village, the Pincher Creek Health Centre and Pincher Creek Home Care for their kindness and compassion over the past years.
