Obituary for Daniel Lindsay Somerville

January 19, 2022
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Lindsay Somerville.

Predeceased by his mother, Alice Somerville, he leaves behind his son, Aaron Bond (Kayla); his father, Roger Somerville; and his sisters, Della (David), Denise, Darlene and Donna; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born in Calgary, Alta., Nov. 18, 1955, he lived in Cochrane, Vulcan, and settled with his parents and siblings in Pincher Creek in 1963.

His first job was on the oil rigs in northern Alberta. He then moved to Victoria, B.C., and drove taxicab. He returned to Victoria again in the early 2000s after living in Edmonton for several years. His last jobs were in construction and demolition.

After suffering from COPD/emphysema for many years, Daniel was lovingly cared for in his final days by the nurses and doctors of the RJH Hospice in Victoria.
