Do you know that feeling when you’ve been anticipating paradise or that dreamy moment on the horizon for so long, and then you realize you’re already there? Hard work and early mornings behind and joy ahead.  This is how Castle Mountain artist Julie Heinrich describes her watercolour painting “Fresh snow, frost, fantastic.”  Julie was thrilled to have her work selected for the 2024 Members Exhibition at the Lebel Gallery in Pincher Creek.  Giddy to start with when the show opened Nov. 8, her smile spread from ear to ear when a friend asked what the red dot on the placard meant. Not only had Julie made her gallery debut, but the red dot indicated the painting was sold while she wasn’t looking. Her reaction was priceless.  Congratulations to Julie and the 19 other artists whose works are on display until Dec. 24. Shannon Peace © Shootin’ the Breeze 2024
