Recovery Alberta‘s addiction and mental health services in Brooks have moved to a new location at the south end of Brooks Health Centre.

The teams and programs previously located at Newell Plaza and the north end of the health centre are now operating next to the Home Care office, according to a July 21 announcement. Staff have been preparing for the move for several months.

An open house is planned for July 24 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the community welcome to view the renovated space and learn about available services.

The newly designed space features a therapy playroom, group therapy room and observation room to support more effective psychotherapy sessions and expanded learning opportunities for clinicians. Officials said the bright, inviting environment is tailored to welcome clients.

Bringing all mental health and addiction services into one location enhances accessibility and simplifies care delivery. Services include child, youth and adult mental health therapy, addiction counselling for individuals and groups, a depot clinic for long-acting injectable medications, and outreach services.

People with questions about finding the new location can call 403-793-6655. Non-urgent questions about mental health and addiction services can be directed to 1-888-594-0211 or recoveryalberta.ca.

Recovery Alberta was established in 2024 as the provincial health agency responsible for mental health and addiction services and correctional health services.
