Maskwacis RCMP arrested a 32-year-old man after finding improvised explosive devices during a search of a Samson Cree Nation residence.

RCMP executed a search warrant Oct. 23 at the residence after receiving a tip about possible explosives. The Alberta RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit assisted with the search.

Terrance Bruno, a resident of Samson Cree Nation, was arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of breach of a release order and possession of explosives contrary to order.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Bruno was remanded into custody to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on Oct. 28.

The explosive devices found during the search were destroyed on scene by the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit.

RCMP are reminding the public that fireworks can be extremely dangerous if not handled properly by responsible adults, and modification of any fireworks can make them very volatile.
