Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village is excited to be able to welcome guests to the museum once again. For the first time since December 2020, visitors can explore the grounds and historical buildings and learn about Pincher Creek’s history.

Laura Korbett, the museum’s office administrator, is looking forward to being able to hold more events this summer, something that wasn’t able to occur in its usual capacity last year. One of the first activities will be a driving tour of historical pioneer buildings on July 11.

President of the Pincher Creek and District Historical Society, Colleen Casey-Cyr, says museum-goers can expect exhibits to be 1920s-themed this year. Displays will be switched around throughout the summer to keep things different.

If you would like to check out all Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village has to offer, the museum is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the month of June. Extended hours will come into effect later this summer.
