Alberta adds 71 new cases to COVID-19 count today — the largest single-day increase since May 16

Three new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the south zone – one each in Cardston County/Kainai, MD of Taber and Medicine Hat.

There are 26 active cases of COVID-19 in the south zone or about five per cent of the province’s total of 559.

South zone information – 1,305 cases (3 new cases) 

1,269 people (about 98 per cent of confirmed south zone cases) have now recovered from COVID-19. There are 26 active cases of the virus in Alberta’s south zone. Ten people have died since the onset of the pandemic.

No one is currently hospitalized.

JBS Foods in Brooks continues to be listed as an outbreak site.
