Security to stay in place as G7 demobilizes in Calgary
As world leaders begin departing Canada following the 2025 G7 Summit, a visible security presence will remain in Calgary during the ongoing demobilization of the event.
The Integrated Safety and Security Group (ISSG) said Tuesday that dismantling operations are underway. Crews are clearing equipment, removing police vehicles, winding down security operations and conducting environmental cleanup at designated sites.
Motorcade activity and heavier traffic may continue near the Calgary International Airport in the coming days. The airport tunnel remains closed for now. Restrictions on local land (CAZ) and airspace (NOTAM) also remain in effect, with updates on their removal expected June 18.
The ISSG expressed appreciation to residents for their cooperation and patience during the summit and asked the public to remain attentive. Suspicious activity can be reported by calling 1-833-341-4464 or emailing G7_intelligence-renseignements@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
