Horseplay at Heritage Acres
Avianna Eisler successfully shoots for a goal as opposition players Erin Rehmann and Geff McAteer (in back) look on. Team members of Ranahan Polocrosse Club from Okotoks demonstrated the sport Saturday at Heritage Acres Farm Museum. A good crowd was on hand to see the high degree of precision racket and ball handling skills, along with horsemanship, required for the sport. Heritage Acres has been offering free admission all summer and hosting a variety of pop-up events on Saturday afternoons. Next up is a steam tractor and sawmill demonstration on Aug. 15, followed by a field demonstration and tractor pulls on Sept. 4 and 5.
