Airdrie RCMP are urging residents to stay home as treacherous driving conditions and zero visibility have led to numerous collisions.

The warning covers the City of Airdrie, Rocky View County, Crossfield, Beiseker and all rural areas policed by the detachment, according to an RCMP advisory issued Tuesday.

Police are asking motorists to stay off all roads so first responders can work safely.
